Girl Hit By Car Getting On School Bus

Early this morning, a young girl heading off to school was struck by a car as she attempted to cross the street to get onto her school bus.

A 15 year old girl from the small south shore town of Whitman was transported to South Shore Hospital in Weymouth with injuries to her arm and knee.  They are non-life threatening injuries.

The vehicle in question had it's passenger side mirror broken off of the car from the accident.  The driver of the car did stop following the crash and has not yet been identified. The investigation with Police continues.

The bus had children on board and was at a complete stop while waiting for the young teen to cross the street and get on the bus.  Scary!
