Fundraiser for Deaf Inc. New Bedford

More often than not, we think nothing of talking to a friend on the phone, being able to listen to music, or even being able to listen to directions from a teacher or boss.

But for the 360 million people who are deaf, these simple interactions are not so simple.  Many times, these people have trouble communicating with others they see in their everyday lives- bosses, teachers, friends and even family.

Here in the Southcoast we have Deaf Inc., a non-profit organization with a branch right here in New Bedford. This organization is run almost completely by the deaf and seeks to help people achieve their personal and professional goals and to bridge the gap between the two communities.

Deaf Inc. is looking to expand itself even more in the Southcoast by hiring a Director of American Sign Language who will be able to organize and structure more consistent American Sign Language  (ASL) courses and programs...but they need YOUR help!
