It's the first Friday night high school football game of the Fall and the team spirit is flooding the stands.

Seniors are crowding around the Fun 107 booth to register to win $5,000 from the Jack Peterson Scholarship sponsored by The United States Army, Work N' Gear, Blount Soup Market & Clam Shack, Greater New Bedford Voc Tech, J&J Driving School, Carefree Homes and Frontera Grill!

Tonight is a very special night for Fairhaven as the school is supporting Team Nelly by wearing Yellow.Nelly was a cheerleader and dancer at Durffee High School before she was sadly diagnosed with a cancerous tumor, resulting in the paralyzation from the chest down.

Tonight, the teams and fans on both sides are coming together not as a rivalry, but as a community and showing their support through the color yellow and the Hashtag #TeamNelly.

The Fairhaven Pop Warner Kids are also in attendance tonight to support the Blue Devils and #TeamNelly as well!

This will be the third game of the season for both sides, both teams are starting tonight at 1-1.The initial coin toss will be flipped by the U.S. Army to start off the night. Kick-off began at 7:00 pm.
