One of the premier Southcoast events of the summer celebrates a milestone this year.  The Buzzard's Bay Swim turns 20 this year!  It's happening on Saturday, July 13th.  I'm there every single year...I wouldn't miss it!

All of the money raised goes directly toward the Buzzards Bay Coalition’s work to restore clean water, protect watershed lands, and engage the community in protecting Buzzards Bay.

What's nice about the swim is that the 1.2 mile course is achievable for swimmers of all ages and abilities.  The Swim draws serious competitors, first-timers, families, teams, and everyone in between.

If you've always thought about swimming, but never have, here is some added incentive.  One of the swimmers, Larry Fish, has issued a special $25,000 challenge: If 300 swimmers sign up, 30 swimmers raise $1,000, and the Buzzards Bay Swim raises $135,000, he'll donate $25,000!

You have until the end of the day on Monday to sign up FREE OF CHARGE.

If you recruit new swimmers...you will win a Buzzards Bay graphic towel.

Plus!  NEW Gender Divisions for the Quicks Award Two $1,000 Quicks Awards will be given--one for the fastest boys team and one for the fastest girls team.
