If your kids are Patriots fans, here's a chance for them to learn football from former players. The best part is that this is a FREE clinic that teaches skills and sportsmanship!

I couldn't have imagined learning the game of football from former Patriots players when I was a kid. Now, the Patriots Foundation is teaming up with the Patriots alumni association to bring a FREE "Football For You" clinic right here to New Bedford. The goal is to bring the fundamentals of football to children who live in and around New Bedford - including lessons on concussion awareness, strength & conditioning, sportsmanship and leadership. The clinic is also open for local Pop Warner and youth football coaches who may want to learn more.

The clinic will take place after school on Friday, June 1st, 2018. It will be non-contact and is open to boys and girls ages 9 to 14. It will take place at the Andrea McCoy Athletic Field at Keith Junior High School in New Bedford. Registration/check-ins will begin right after school. Camp starts at 3:30pm, with a meal to follow at 6pm.

There's no word, yet, on specifically which Patriots alumni will be coaching in the clinic, but former Patriots quarterback Steve Grogan has coached these "Football For You" clinics in the past...as has three-time Super Bowl Champion, Patrick Pass.
