We all crave different food from time to time...but did you ever wonder if it's your body's way of trying to tell you something?Lately, I cannot stop craving tuna sandwiches!!  It's the weirdest thing! I like tuna, but I've never been one to love it or crave it, ever.  I thought maybe it was because I ordered a really yummy tuna wrap recently, and that's why I keep craving it?  I don't think so though, cause I keep wanting to make tuna sandwiches at home and order tuna from other places as well.  What a weirdo, right? Oh, and no, I'm NOT pregnant. I know that's what you're thinking ;).

So I thought, maybe I should look this up to see if my body is trying to tell me something other than 'wow, tuna is delish'. Turns out when you are craving certain foods, it's your body's way of saying 'Yo!  We're lacking this over here! We need this to function properly, so get on that!'  Kinda... Well, I googled 'why do I keep craving tuna?' The result?  I'm probably lacking protein or essential fatty acids.  I don't eat red meat, so I think that might make sense.

What about you? Having some cravings? Here's what some of them might mean:

If you're craving chocolate: It means you could be lacking magnesium or copper.

If you're craving nuts: You might need more essential fatty acids, protein, or healthy sodium.

If you're craving sweet and sour: Your liver is congested and is attempting to cleanse itself!

If you're craving sweets and starches: You might have a serotonin imbalance.

If you're craving ice: you may have an iron deficiency.

Good to know!
