We're seeing flu cases starting to heat up on the Southcoast.

I'm always on the fence about whether or not to get a flu shot.  I never got one this year, but it looks like we're not out of the woods, yet.  Just when you thought you had escaped the flu this season, we are seeing it start to spread here on the Southcoast.

According to the Herald News there were a total of 127 confirmed cases of the flu were diagnosed at Southcoast Health’s three hospitals, including Charlton, St. Luke’s in New Bedford and Tobey in Wareham.

The Department of Public Health confirmed over 2,000 cases of the flu in Massachusetts last week alone...more than twice the amount from the same week last year.  Normally, flu cases spike early in the season, then taper off as the season progresses.
