According to the Herald News, former Mayor of Fall River, Will Flanagan spoke in support of a potential medical marijuana facility in Westport.

He is representing the nonprofit organization called Hope, Heal, Health who has requested a letter if non-opposition so the organization can begin looking for a location for the facility on Route 6 and 177.

Selectman voted to table the item because the letter was a bit unclear and they advised Flanagan to resubmit his letter and they will forward the request to other town entities. Flanagan also spent some time talking about drugs and some of the taboos associated with marijuana.

Since he left office, Flanagan has also spent time welcoming Fall River's first medical marijuana center.
