Firefighters Find Alligator While Battling Blaze

Firefighters in Providence found more than just flames when the arrived at a house fire Thursday night.

Eight firefighters were injured while battling a blaze on Orms Street in Providence Thursday night.

WJAR reports that the injuries were minor and were not caused by the alligator that the firefighters encountered in a bathtub in the third floor apartment.

The eight residents of the home all escaped safely and Red Cross is putting them up at a hotel.
