Fiddler crabs are raiding Wareham beaches by the thousands.

Fiddler crabs are something people can see at low tide a lot of the time when at the beach but never like this. We asked the Wareham Department of Natural Resources for comment on whether or not this is normal and they replied:
" It's a quiet portion of the beach with a good habitat setting, so naturally, it attracts a large volume of them in the area at low tide." -Wareham Department of Natural Resources
