A major drug runner to the city of Fall River has been arrested…

According to The Herald News, Fall River detectives were investigating suspicious activity at a residence on Albion St.

Initially, detectives were targeting a male but when his residence and vehicle were searched, police did not find illegal drugs. After they continued to question the suspect, according to court documents he offered to call his supplier from Providence.

Police witnessed Maria Vega of Johnston RI, arrive at the residence on Albion St. carrying 15 bundles of suspected heroin and a large amount of cash in her bag. Police seized the drugs and cash.

Vega was arrested and arraigned this week and will be back in court for a pretrial hearing on April 1st.
