This weekend marks the 98th celebration of the Feast of the Blessed Sacrament, taking place on the Madiera Field Grounds in the North End of New Bedford!

It starts Thursday, August 2nd and runs through Sunday, August 5th, so make you bring the kids, family, and friends and enjoy the tremendous amount of food, madiera wine, and entertainment they have all weekend.

Founded in 1915 by four Madeiran immigrant men who wanted to recreate the religious festivals that were so common in the villages of their home island and to commemorate their safe passage to these American shores, this traditional mid-summer gathering for family and friends has become the Largest Portuguese Feast in the World and the largest ethnic festival in New England. The Feast attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors from around the globe.

I'm especially looking forward to seeing Fuel performing on the mainstage tonight (8/2) at 10pm!
