Family and friends have created a grassroots effort to search for missing 21 year old Dana Dourdeville. The Brown University student has been missing since he left the house to go duck hunting the afternoon of New Year's Eve. Today, Fairhaven Police indicated that there were no further developments in the search being led by the Massachusetts Environmental Police, but said that Fairhaven officers are continuing to check the town's coastal areas on foot. All formal searches were suspended late last week due to the winter storm that struck the area.

Sgt. Kevin Kobza said that a meeting is scheduled this week with the Southeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council Underwater Search and Recovery Team to discuss underwater search options. Kobza says there are hundreds of square miles to search in the area of Buzzards Bay where Mr. Dourdeville’s kayak was found.

Friends and family combed the beaches of Fairhaven looking for the former ORR Valedictorian and track star.
