It was a bad and dangerous commute this morning for some drivers crossing the Sagamore Bridge in Bourne. Large chunks of ice fell from the bridge and struck at least three vehicles.

According to capecodtimes.com, the damage happened at around 6 a.m. on Monday. They report that the cars struck were driving off the cape on the northbound side of the brdige at the time. One vehicle was badly damaged, but there were luckily no injuries.

The Sagamore Bridge was not closed to traffic as there have been no other reports of falling ice since early this morning.
