A Fall River man's "hot date" turned out to be anything but.

A man new to town reportedly tried to use a dating app to find a woman, but wound up getting himself robbed.

The Fall River Herald reports that the victim was using the dating app Plenty of Fish to try and meet someone. He had reportedly found what he thought was a hot date and after exchanging a few messages decided to meet up.

The pair were supposed to meet up at a Baker Street residence around 7:30 last Saturday night, but when the victim showed up he was told he had missed his date.

He was directed to another street and as he walked over a light colored SUV pulled up behind him and two heavy-set women got out and approached him.

One of the women brought him to the ground while the other pulled his wallet out of his back pocket, removed the cash and dropped it on the ground.

The women then got back in the SUV and were last seen heading west on Dover Street towards Plymouth Avenue.

The driver is described as a light-skinned black woman, 5 foot 8 inches to 5 foot 9 inches tall and about 250-300 lbs.She was wearing a light grey hooded pullover and had shoulder-length black, curly hair.

The passenger was described as a light-skinned black woman, 5 foot 4 inches to 5 foot 5 inches tall with wavy brown hair past her shoulders. She is said to have had a blood blister on her left eye as if someone had recently punched her.

Police searched the meet up area for the women, but found no one matching their descriptions.

The Plenty of Fish profile the victim had been interacting with had been deleted from the site.
