Fall River will be crowning their first ever Miss Outstanding Teen this Saturday night.

The title Outstanding Teen isn't new on the Southcoast, but it is in Fall River.

There have been Miss Outstanding Teen pageants in New Bedford for years, but now Fall River is seeking their first young lady to hold the title. And five contestants will be competing this Saturday night at Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School.

The contestants looking to represent the Greater Fall River area in the Miss Massachusetts Outstanding Teen pageant this April are:

Amber Ferreira, a 16-year-old from Bishop Connolly High School whose platform is supporting school arts program.
Anastasia Monte, a 16-year-old from Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School whose platform is supporting military children and families.
Julia Bauer, a 15-year-old from Durfee High School whose platform is supporting music and arts programs.
Kaleigh Reed, 15-year-old from Dighton-Rehoboth Regional High School whose platform is Girls Inc., empowering confidence
Julia Hurley, a 14-year-old from Westport High School whose platform is Walking with Jane: fighting NET cancer.

The winner will receive the title of Miss Fall River's Outstanding Teen and a $250 scholarship.

Rehearsals have been underway and the girls are ready to represent the Greater Fall River area this Saturday, January 20th at Diman.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and tickets for the Miss Fall River's Outstanding Teen Pageant are $20, with all money raised during the event going to the scholarship.
