The mayor of Fall River has issued a driving ban that will be in place until further notice. That means only emergency vehicles and plows are allowed tobe driving on the streets of the city.

Mayor Jasiel Corriea declared a state of emergency in Fall River on Tuesday, allowing the police to enforce no driving on city streets by non essential workers. On their Facebook page, the Fall River Police Department posted the following:

State of Emergency Declared by Mayor Jasiel F. Correia II: The mayor has implemented a driving ban for the safety of our residents and other city travelers today, March 13, 2018. Only emergency vehicles and plow teams should be on the road. The ban will be lifted at the discretion of the mayor and public safety officials. The parking ban remains in effect until further notice.
