8-year-old Hope Laliberte wears braces on her legs and had hoped to get a few Disney villains painted on the back of them.

According to The Herald News, Hope has cerebral palsy and has had to wear leg braces for the past few years. The brace clinic at Boston Children's Hospital only had princesses, super heroes and other cartoon characters. But Hope wanted to get Disney villains, Cruella de Vil and Ursula from 'The Little Mermaid' on her braces instead. Hope likes the villains better than any princess or super hero.

So Hope and her mother went to Up In Flames tattoo shop and asked artist Aaron Guillemette, who has been friends with the family for years, to help create the image that Hope was looking for. The entire shop got involved with helping Hope get the perfect design for her braces. They were all happy to help.

The only issue they ran into was the braces, which are made out of resin and acrylic plastic, wouldn't attach to any paint. Instead, Aaron drew the characters himself on sticker paper then painted them with acrylic paint. Afterwards he set the art work but using several coats of polyurethane.

Hope fell in love with her braces' new designs. The art work came out perfect and just what Hope wanted.

"That was the most important thing to me,” said Aaron about the design outcome. “I’m psyched.”
