FAIRHAVEN — Fairhaven Police are searching for a suspect in an armed robbery that took place Monday afternoon.

Fairhaven Police responded to a reported armed robbery that occurred at the Friendly Farm convenience store, located at 121 Sconticut Neck Road. Just after 12:30 p.m. on Monday afternoon, a white male entered the store brandishing a large knife. The suspect demanded money from the clerk while brandishing the knife. He then fled from the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect partially concealed his face with his sweatshirt prior to entering the store. He is described as a white male in his mid-20s, approximately 140 pounds, 5’2” to 5’4” in height, wearing a grey sweatshirt over a grey hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and a black ball cap. The knife used by the suspect is described as a large hunting-style knife.

The entire incident was captured on video surveillance. No one was injured during the robbery.
