51 year old John Moura was sentenced to 2 years in prison after being convicted of possessing child pornography.
State detectives started investigating Moura after a cyber-tip came in from Microsoft to the DA's office. The company suspected that child pornography was being stored on a IP address in Fairhaven and they were right.
After a search of a relative's Glenhaven Avenue home where Moura had been staying, investigstors discovered 4 images of child pornography were uploaded to a home computer at this address. Those images were then uploaded to his skydrive account.
Moura has been sentenced to 2 years at the Bristol County House of Corrections, just under the 2 1/2 year maimum for the House of Corrections. In addition to his sentence he must now register as a sex offender.
