Fairhaven Food For Tots Totals Announced

A big thank you to everyone who went out to eat last night to support Fairhaven's Food For Tots.  Thanks to you, we were able to raise an incredible amount of money to support Boston Children's Hospitals unit at St. Luke's Hospital's emergency department.

What an easy way to support a cause close to home.  Hundreds of people flocked to Fairhaven last night to eat at the town's best restaurants...including Frontera Grill, The Pasta House, Mike's Restaurant and Cleary's Pub.  Diners didn't need to bring any special discount coupon or say anything at all to their servers.  The only thing customers had to do was simply order, eat, and pay for their meal - as they normally would - and 15% of their bill was donated to Food For Tots.

Because of their support, Mike's Restaurant was able to donate $825, Cleary's Pub donated $1200, Frontera Grill donated $1500, and The Pasta House was able to donate $1750.  George and Jill Fearons, long time benefactors of Southcoast Pediatrics, matched the donations up to $2500.  The grand total for the night was $7,775!

Food For Tots is a charitable organization founded with Fun 107 and Southcoast Pediatrics to support Boston Children's Hospital's unit inside St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford.  Our goal is to have as many children as possible who walk through the doors of St. Luke's emergency department be seen by doctors from Boston Children's.

Food For Tots is onto Dartmouth next month!  We'll announce our Dartmouth locations on May 7th!
