Sarah Brightman is renowned for possessing a vocal range that spans more than three full octaves and for her impassioned stage and film performances. She has received more than 180 gold and platinum awards in more than 40 countries.

In 1981, Brightman made her West End musical theater debut in Cats and met Andrew Lloyd Webber. She went on to star in several Broadway musicals, including the Phantom of the Opera, where she originated the role of Christine Daaé.

Brightman was also the first artist to have been invited to perform the official theme songs at the Olympic Games on two occasions. The first time was at the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games and then again 16 years later at the opening ceremony in Beijing.

Brightman recently accepted the UNESCO nomination to be an "Artist for Peace" ambassador for her "commitment to humanitarian and charitable causes."

Tickets

Ticket prices start at $45 and go up to $150. They may be purchased online, by phone at (401) 421-2787, or at the PPAC Box Office in downtown Providence. Regular box office hours are now in effect and are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and through curtain times on show days.

To ensure the enjoyment of all patrons, children under the age of six are not permitted to attend performances unless it is designated as a family show. Please call the box office at (401) 421-2787 to see which shows are appropriate for younger children. All persons regardless of age are required to have a ticket for family shows.
