Erika Van Pelt From American Idol Season 11 On The FUN Morning Show [AUDIO]

This morning, we spoke with Erika Van Pelt, who finished in 10th place on Season 11 of American Idol, and has her debut album "My Independence" coming out on October 8th!

Erika is actually from South Kingston, Rhode Island, so it was great seeing a local girl make it so far in a singing competition that's viewed by millions, with thousands of contestants that enter it every year.

Her new CD features songs like, "Listen, Learn, Then Delete," "Hurricane," and "My Independence." Look for her performing with Daughtry and Lana Del Ray coming up on December 10th too.
