Eight People Arrested for New Bedford Robbery, Assault

NEW BEDFORD — Eight people were arrested Wednesday after a man reported to police that he was assaulted and robbed at 149 Tinkham Street.

The man said that shortly after he arrived at the location, he was assaulted by several people at the residence and robbed of his wallet, which contained cash.

The man was not seriously injured.

Those arrested were:

Hector Torres, 62, 170 Central St. Apt. 1, Springfield, unarmed robbery, assault and battery; trespassing; possession of Class A substance with intent to distribute; possession of Class A substance with intent to distribute, subsequent offense; possession of Class B substance with intent to distribute.

Shelton Johnson, 28, homeless, New Bedford, unarmed robbery; assault and battery; assault and battery with a dangerous weapon; trespassing.

Pedro L. Ramos Jr., 40, homeless, New Bedford, unarmed robbery; assault and battery; trespassing.

Ruperto Torres, 44, 149 Tinkham St. Apt. 2, New Bedford, unarmed robbery; assault and battery; trespassing.

Joshua Luna-Agosto, 18, 1959 Purchase St., Apt. 210E, New Bedford, unarmed robbery; trespassing; assault and battery.

Sky-Lynn Ellis, 23, 59 Hill St., New Bedford, unarmed robbery; assault and battery; trespassing.

Brittnee Diana Ladetto, 22, 19 George St. Apt. 3E, New Bedford, trespassing; assault and battery; unarmed robbery; three warrant arrests.

Tara Lucas, 31, 67 Hathaway St. Apt. 2W, New Bedford, trespassing; assault and battery; unarmed robbery.
