Football season hasn't even started yet but there are people already predicting who will be performing at this year's Super Bowl Halftime Show. So who are the alleged contenders?

According to the Wall Street Journal, who have cited "people familiar with the matter", the NFL has narrowed it down to Coldplay, Rihanna or Katy Perry.

All three would be great choices if you ask me, but there is one more thing the NFL is allegedly asking them...to pay for the privilege.

Yes, apparently in addition to informing these acts they are the league's finalists they are also asking if these performers might be willingly to also toss the NFL some post-halftime show income or "some other type of financial contribution" the league's way.

The NFL themselves are not commenting on the particulars of course but a rep was willing to say that they are looking "to put on the best possible show." And considering both Beyonce and Bruno Mars managed to use their Super Bowl appearances to launch extremely successful tours, paying for the privilege to perform in front of the upwards of 100 million big game viewers doesn't seem to far fetched.

So who would you most like to see perform at the next Super Bowl if these predictions are correct?
