A shy kitty cat's dying owner wrote a letter to her feline companions future owner. The cat and the letter were given to the Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center in Maryland this past May.

Huffington Post reports that the shy cat was taken to the shelter by the son of the owner who said that he couldn't keep the cat because of housing restrictions.

The heartwarming letter began, "Dear Friend. Thank you for adopting my friend, Susie." The handwritten letter fills two pages, detailing the life they shared and explaining the cat's shy demeanor.

"Susie is afraid of everyone and everything. It took her six to eight months to realize I am her friend ... Susie is unusual but I enjoy her company," the woman wrote. "I hope you enjoy Susie as much as I have."

Susie has not yet been adopted, but the shelter does plan on sharing the letter with the whoever does decide to adopt the quiet kitty.

I hope that Susie finds a home soon, and my heart goes out to the owner who just wanted her little best friend to have the best possible life.
