Dunkin Donuts Celebrates 20th Year Of Annual Scholarship Program

Dunkin Donuts is announcing their 20th year of their ongoing scholarship committed to students in the local community.

Dunkin Donuts has provided more than $2 million in tuition assistance grants through their program for the last 20 years. Applications for the 20^th Annual Dunkin’ Donuts Scholarship Program will be available beginning February 1, 2015. Interested applicants can visit any Dunkin’ Donuts restaurant in Rhode Island or Bristol County, Massachusetts for more information. The deadline to submit applications is March 15, 2015.

This year, Dunkin Donuts will give 100 college-bound high school seniors $1,000 scholarships and will surprise one additional student with a $20,000 scholarship to be used for college tuition. Scholarship recipient selection is based on excellence in academics, leadership qualities and a student’s community involvement.

“We are so proud to have reached this amazing milestone with the Dunkin’ Donuts Scholarship,” said Joe Prazeres, Dunkin’ Donuts franchisee. “Since starting the program, we have had the opportunity to make achieving a college education just a little more attainable for thousands of local students and their families, and we look forward to continuing that mission for years to come.”

Applicants to the Dunkin’ Donuts Scholarship Program must meet the following criteria:

• Be a high school senior who plans to enroll in a course of study. Students must be enrolled at least part-time in a baccalaureate degree program at an accredited college or university, an associate degree program at an accredited junior or community college, or a certificate program at an approved vocational or technical institute.
• Be a resident of Rhode Island or Bristol County, Massachusetts.
