WAREHAM - Saturday night, Wareham emergency personnel were called to the area of Broad Cove for a vehicle submerged about 50 to 75 feet from the shore.

Wareham Police say there were two people in the car at the time it plunged into the water, with both occupants now on shore. They were taken to Tobey Hospital to be treated for exposure to the elements.

Police found a ten-pack of vodka nips near the scene, with six full bottles remaining.

During the investigation, police determined the female suspect, 22-year-old Meghan Gagnon of Plympton, was driving to a friend's house with one male passenger when she lost control of the car and drove into the shallow water.

Gagnon is charged with OUI liquor and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
