FALL RIVER - The driver accused of causing a fatal crash in Fall River on Thursday has been arraigned.

The Bristol County District Attorney's Office says Irvin Dominguez-Cruz, 37, was ordered held without bail in his arraignment Friday morning in Fall River District Court.

Authorities say Dominguez-Cruz was driving on Highland Avenue Thursday morning when he began to turn onto Courtney Street, cutting off a motorcyclist headed the opposite direction on Highland Avenue. The motorcyclist hit the side of the box truck.

The motorcycle operator, Chistopher P. Mills, 29, of Taunton, was later pronounced dead at Rhode Island Hospital.

Prosecutors say Dominguez-Cruz does not have a license to operate a motor vehicle, and faces multiple charges including motor vehicle homicide by means of negligent operation, and leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death. He was arrested at his home Thursday night.
