Flying is challenging enough.  You’re trapped with strangers, breathing all over the place, spreading germs and getting you sick.   Being crammed into a seat and trapped for hours can be anything but enjoyable.
Can you appreciate what it must have been like being trapped on this plane full of Eagles fans flying out of Los Angeles this past weekend?  While most of them seemed to be in an upbeat, “spirited” mood, the airline was forced to ask them to calm it down just a bit.
On the Spirit airline flight, fans started singing the Eagle fighting song, “Fly Eagles, Fly” (very off-key, by the way) and the plane fell into utter chaos.  One woman, wearing a green blanket, led cheers to the green-clad fans.

This was all BEFORE Nick Foles played the game of his life on Sunday night.  I can’t imagine what those Minneapolis to Philly flights were like AFTER the Super Bowl.  File under “unbearable”.
To their credit, Spirit Airlines handled the situation well and were pretty cool about it, playing the “Rocky” theme over the PA system, but some of the Eagle fans got out of control and had to be told to “tone it down.” In true Philly fashion, they booed.
