I saw this play last night with my mother and siblings. Ages 10 to 45, and we were all laughing through the entire show. The actors and actresses did an amazing job bringing the Russian village of Kulyenchikov to life.

The village people are afflicted with stupidity thanks to a 200-year-old curse. The town's doctor sends for a young schoolteacher named Leon Tolchinsky, to help them break the curse. To do so, Leon must educate the doctor's daughter, Sophia. If he fails, he becomes a fool like the rest of the village.

Not only does this comedy make you laugh, it makes you think. The car ride home was spent talking about what makes a person intelligent and how everyone has something to learn and everyone can teach another a thing or two about life. Dartmouth High should be proud of the students involved with this performance. A job well done!
