Governor Baker took a page from Governor Patrick's playbook this week, declaring a statewide travel ban for any "non-essential" workers (emergency crews, plow drivers, media, etc).

In my opinion, the travel ban worked well during the 2013 Blizzard and worked just as well with the Blizzard of 2015.  The travel ban did not come without criticism, though.  People like Ian Glover (right) commented that he thought the travel ban was reminiscent of a police state.

I know that some people get cabin fever when they are stuck at home for a while, but sacrificing some time on the roads allows the plow drivers to do their jobs properly. It also prevents rescue workers from having to respond to multiple accidents from vehicles slipping off of the roads.

The travel ban makes sense in these extreme conditions. Do you agree?
