I made a personal confession on the air today that I had never told anyone before in my life!

If you were listening to us this morning, then you probably heard one of the weirdest conversations we've ever had on the air! Today on the Fun Morning Show, I mentioned that I associate songs and music artists with different colors and apparently, that makes me a little weird!

But as it turns out, that I'm not the only one who thinks this way! We had several of our listeners call in today to share similar experiences with us and to prove that I'm not crazy!

So we did some research and we found that this "experience" is called Synesthesia.

According to synesthete.org, Synesthesia is a condition of mixed perceptions, that is, where one sense is stimulated and causes an involuntary sensation/experience in another sense.

There are different types of Synesthesia and I, apparently have Chromesthesia, which is associating sounds with colors. Yep, I'm your average synesthete.

Just to give a quick example of my synesthetic thoughts, Katy Perry is a definite blue and Bon Jovi is a total red. "Talk Dirty to Me" is a blue and "Fancy" is a yellow.

This is definitely a weird thing to have and I don't get why I have it, I'm just glad that I'm not the only crazy one out there!

Think you're a synesthete? Not sure? Take this quiz to find out! syesthete.org
