Its been a rough few weeks for the New England Patriots in the real world. Has it been that bad for fantasy owners?

Quarterback Tom Brady lost some of his favorite toys in Julian Edelman, Dion Lewis, Rob Gronkowski, and even Danny Amendola for a few games here and there. Brandon LaFell missed most of the beginning of the season, and seems to be mistaking grease for Stickum.

Not to mention the hodgepodge that is the Patriots' offensive line.

Yet, Brady is still the #1 scoring leader in fantasy points at week 14, according to NFL.com.

To put into perspective what kind of ammunition Brady is missing, Edelman is #20 for wide receiver scoring leaders despite missing three full weeks, and Gronk is the top scoring tight end by a long shot.

In the past four weeks, Tommy boy is still in the top 5 in production with 86.32 points, but there's quite a drop off from there. Running back James White is the next in line with only 36.20 points.

That's not too bad, with guys like Jets running back Chris Ivory's around the same level.

The difference? The Jets have three other players with more points; Ryan Fitzpatrick (85.54 pts), Brandon Marshall (63.20 pts), and Eric Decker (44.90 pts).

New England will have to rely heavily on tight end Scott Chandler, running back LeGarrette Blount, and LaButterfingers to pick up the slack, which there's plenty of.

It kills me to say it, but stay away from Patriots players on your fantasy team unless you're really hurting. Brady will get his points, especially if he's racking up passing, rushing, and receiving stats like he did against Philadelphia. But, there's not much else to rely on.

Sorry, Pats Nation, at least we have the real NFL Playoffs to look forward to.
