Details On Incoming Traffic Issues

The Veterans Memorial Bridge will be undergoing multiple scheduled test openings, traffic delays expected.

On Route 6 over the Taunton River, there will be many text bridge openings from Wednesday December 16th to Friday the 18th. According to the Herald News, the openings are necessary to ensure the proper operation of the drawbridge.

On those thee days,  the operations will begin at 10:00 am and occur every hour through 3:00 pm. The bridge will not open at noon and each opening is expected to last ten minutes.

You are advised to seek alternative routes between Fall River and Somerset during these times.
