Deb’s Meatloaf Recipe
In the words of Randy from A Christmas Story “Meatloaf meatloaf double beat loaf”. I have found a terrific and easy recipe that includes normal ingredients.
There is nothing worse than finding a recipe online for a dish you wish to serve that includes ingredients you’ve never heard of. This is a great and simple way to prepare a meal that will serve the whole family (of at least 4). I put a slight spin of my own because his lordship Larry hates onion, so I excluded it complety. It still came out dynamite.
1 1/2 lbs of lean ground beef (93% or higher)
1 cup of bread crumbs
1 cup of milk (I used 1%)
1 Tsp of minced garlic
Salt & pepper
3/4 cup of ketchup
1/4 cup of mustard
Directions: mix beef, egg, bread crumbs, minced garlic, dashes of salt and pepper, and milk in a bowl well.
Separately mix ketchup and mustard. Lightly greas a 5×9 meatloaf pan and place meat mixture in dish. Spread ketchup mixture over meat. Sprinkle additional bread crumbs if desired. Bake in oven at 350 degrees for 75 minutes.
Serve with mashed potatoes and steamed peas or an all American meal!
