Dartmouth’s Old Country Buffet Closed

It's Monday night...normally at Old Country Buffet in Dartmouth servers would be carving the roast beef and the mashed potatoes and gravy would be flowing.  However, tonight, there is no Old Country Buffet action.  The Dartmouth location is closed.  Doors locked tight.  No answer on the phone.

A sign on the door read that the restaurant was closed for  "asset inventory".  Employees will find out more when they return to the restaurant tomorrow (Tuesday).

Maybe not so coincidentally, USA Today is reporting that for the third time in a decade, the owners of Old Country Buffet have once again filed for bankruptcy and shutdown 92 stores in the last several days....more than 160 stores in the past few weeks.

The Dartmouth restaurant made headlines in 2006 when a dishwasher beat his manager with a metal pipe, then stabbed her to death.
