New Bedford Police[/caption]When 18-year-old Craig Gebo walked into the South End New Bedford police station to report problems with a woman on Facebook, he probably wasn't expected to wind up behind bars.

Gebo told the desk officer on duty that a woman threatened to have several men shoot him because he owed her money.   But when he said he would shoot those men first, he caught the attention of other officers at the station.  When they asked him if he had a gun, Gebo said he did and he was carrying it.   In fact, officers found a loaded .25 caliber Beretta semi-automatic handgun in the pocket of his sweatshirt.

The serial numbers had been rubbed off, and Gebo had no license for the weapon.  He was arrested and is set to be arraigned in New Bedford District Court.
