The donation jar was stolen after it was placed on the counter of Mark's Beverage. Jansen was diagnosed with Leukemia in January and her family was accepting donations to help with the costs of her care. Haylie's mother had to quit her job following the diagnosis.

Dartmouth Police left this heart warming message  along with their donation "The greatest life you live, is the one that is still ahead of you. Stay strong Haylie! The members of the Dartmouth Police Department"

Surveillance videos captured the two women and the images were released to the public.

NBC10 reports that  "Veronica Mello, 32, of New Bedford was arraigned on larceny charges earlier this month". The other woman in question, Amelia Early, has a warrant issued for her arrest.
