A Rehoboth man has begun serving a 2 1/2 year prison sentence for his role in running a prostitution ring out of Dartmouth.

Dartmouth Police say 23-year-old Justin Croke pled guilty in early December to deriving support by prostitution, unarmed robbery, threatening, and larceny. The charges stem from two separate prostitution related incidents that took place in March of 2015.

Public Information Officer Kyle Costa says the prostitution ring was being run out of a Dartmouth motel, but declined to specify which one.

In addition to his prison sentence, Croke will be under a three year probationary period.
