The Dartmouth High School Marching Band has advanced to the national championship after getting the top score out of 21 pf the best Northeast bands and color guards this weekend at the New England Region Championships sponsored by US Band. The competition took place at the JFK Memorial Stadium in Bridgeport CT.

The band endured a rough schedule in order to earn the win, meeting at the high school at 7am Saturday morning, practicing, then getting bused to Bridgeport where they faced off in preliminary and them final competitions...arriving back at Dartmouth High School just after 2:00 a.m. this morning. Dartmouth came out on top of the all the schools that made it to the finals with a final score of 97.313 besting the John P Stevens High School of New Jersey and Passaic HS also of New Jersey.

This competition is the high point of the northeast schedule and leads to next week's final competition sponsored by US Bands. The national championship will be held at MetLife Stadium in the Meadowlands. Over 50 schools from all over the country will compete.
