Fairhaven Police are saying that they have suspended the search for Dana Dourdeville for the night. A limited search will resume in the morning.

Police combed the area on foot, in boats, aircraft, and ATV's during the day long search today, which ended at sundown. The land search covered much of the conservation section of West Island, and along the coastline.

None of the young man's belongings were found during the search, with the exception of his kayak that was discovered floating approximately 2 ½ miles off the east coast of West Island.

Below is a picture of the family gathering at the West Island Town beach parking lot...where Mr. Dourdeville's vehicle was found.
