In the interest of full disclosure, I grew up in a police family. My father was a Mass State Trooper in Boston, and many of my relatives were also policemen. I have been surrounded by cops my entire life. One thing I've learned is that taking criticism and second guessing from the public is just part of the job, but the criticism from the Facebook user below surprised even me.  It's not like this was a police officer swearing at someone during a traffic stop.  This was an instance of two people violating someone's home.  The police officers were taking their lives into their hands going into that home.  If they swear...so be it.  Criticizing the police for swearing in a situation like that is outrageous.

When I was watching the video of 2 men breaking into a home on Howland Road in Fairhaven, my testosterone was through the roof. That was me WATCHING the video. I can't imagine actually being in the house and climbing the stairs not knowing what you were going to find up there. The last thing that ever crossed my mind was that the cop was "ignorant" or "unprofessional" for swearing at the suspect, but that is exactly what one Facebook user suggested.

Am I wrong?  Do you agree with Tracy Ann Audette N'Guia?  Were the police "unprofessional" to swear at these criminals?  Or is Casey Dahlquist right when she says people who criticize them for their language should try the job of a police officer for "5 minutes" before making a statement like that.
