DARTMOUTH — Police in Dartmouth are asking drivers to stay away from a section of Fisher Road after a motor vehicle crashed into a utility pole.

The crash took place before 8:20 a.m. Friday on Fisher Road near Woodcock Road. Police say a single car crashed into a utility pole, snapping the pole and leaving electrical lines dangling just over the roadway.

No injuries were reported in the crash.

That section of Fisher Road will be closed until further notice. Eversource has been contacted to make necessary repairs.

Roadways throughout the SouthCoast were slick Friday morning after several inches of snowfall overnight.
