A Taunton woman is facing charges of a DUI while four children were in her SUV.

According to Rehoboth police, they arrested 35 year-old Angela Tavares after 10 p.m. on Saturday following reports of an erratic operator on Route 44. Tavares allegedly had swerved into oncoming traffic.

Police stopped her SUV near Winthrop Street and found two adult women and four children ages 3, 7, 12 and 14 inside the car.

Tavares, the driver, was charged with a DUI, operating to endanger, child endangerment and a marked lanes violation. She was released by a bail clerk and will be arraigned Monday morning in Taunton District Court.
