WLNE(ABC 6) had the exclusive story, and brought the tape right to Fall River's Mayor Flanagan, who ordered all work to be stopped on the project. He has also launched a full scale investigation after the tape showed two workers having around five beers in a 40-minute period. Another worker was seen having six beers, in the same time frame.

The workers would wrap the cans in tin foil, to hide the fact that they were drinking beer. The City of Fall River hired J&J construction out of Lowell, MA to do the work on the parking lot. J&J construction then hired a sub company carry out the work.
