Chris Kyle is the Navy Seal who inspired Clint Eastwood's film, "American Sniper." If you haven't seen it yet, I strongly suggest you make plans to do so soon. The movie is based on Chris Kyle's book "American Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. Military History." I have not yet read the book, but the movie was incredibly powerful.

Spoiler alert: If you haven't followed Chris Kyle's story in the news, I'm going to break it to you right here: Chris Kyle was murdered on February 2, 2013. He was stateside, helping veterans overcome PTSD and other disabilities. It was his form of therapy, until one of the veterans he was trying to help shot him and his friend. The trial is currently underway.

Two years later, "American Sniper" was up for several awards at the Oscars, including the coveted "Best Picture.""Bridman" may have walked away with that honor, but Kyle's widow, Taya, walked the Red Carpet holding her late husband's dog tags, honoring the American Hero. I didn't think it was possible for me to have even more respect for this family, but there it is.
