With child safety seat regulations recently changing, this might be the perfect time to get your car seat re-checked in Marion.

The Marion Police Department is hosting a free child safety seat check point this Friday, September 14th from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.

The event allows parents to roll up and have existing car seats checked to ensure they are installed properly or of course first time parents can get hands on training in how to put that new seat in in the first place.

Trust me, car seats can be confusing...and sometimes have straps you have no idea what to do with.

As a mom who has more than once attended child safety seat checks like this one, I can tell you it is worth it to have the piece of mind that the seat is in right and your child is riding safely.

And with the recent changes to child seat regulations, this could be the perfect time for parents with toddlers to get things re-checked as well.

Marion police ask that you show up no later than 2:30 p.m. for the event which will take place this Friday at the Marion Police Department at 550 Mill Street.
