When presidential hopeful John Kerry first began making his rounds against George Bush in 2004, he reminded us a little bit of cartoon dog Huckleberry Hound. But now that Kerry has returned to the public eye as the US Secretary of State, we can't help but notice that he looks much more like another cartoon hound these days: Droopy Dog.

John Kerry succeeded Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State back in February, and since then he's been dealing with unpleasantness like nuclear threats from North Korea. Not exactly the least stressful job in the world.

Droopy is a lethargic cartoon Basset Hound with a whole lot of jowls to work around. He's generally harmless, with his slow nasally drawl and laid-back persona ... unless you make him angry. You wouldn't like him when he's angry.
