Capron Park Zoo Sloth Bears Die in Attleboro, MA

Sad news for the Capron Park Zoo in Attleboro, MA. Reports of the two rare Sloth Bears have passed away due to liver disease.

Zoo veterinarians believe the cause of death was cancer-related and is common with Sloth Bears who are in captive as opposed to living in the wild. The Sloth's Bears names were Amy and Goof, she was only 25 and he was only 27.

Amy passed away on September 3rd and Goof passed away shortly afterwards on September 7th. Locals and Capron Park zoo-goers favorited Amy and Goof mostly amongst the animals as a featured attraction.
